I am preaching through the Psalms of Ascent on Sunday Mornings (Psalms 120-134). Psalms 127 is a Psalm that is familiar to those in ministry. It says,
vs 1---"Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchmen waketh but in vain."
vs 2---It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so He giveth His beloved sleep.
vs 3---Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward

In Tulsa God spoke to me in 1985, He told me He had an Isaiah 58:12 call for Pastor Sherry and I and that He had a people we knew not of that would grab the vision with us to be “rebuilders, restorers and repairers” of St. Louis City.  We started Trinity in December of 1985 and the Lord gave us marching orders for the church.  He said, “Go, Win the Lost, Keep the Won and Lift the Kept, So They Can Go and Win the Lost.”
