In Tulsa God spoke to me in 1985, He told me He had an Isaiah 58:12 call for Pastor Sherry and I and that He had a people we knew not of that would grab the vision with us to be “rebuilders, restorers and repairers” of St. Louis City. We started Trinity in December of 1985 and the Lord gave us marching orders for the church. He said, “Go, Win the Lost, Keep the Won and Lift the Kept, So They Can Go and Win the Lost.”
It soon became clear that Trinity was to be a church with a mandate to: Equip the Saints for Service, Establish new churches in the St. Louis Urban Areas and then Evangelize those communities. God has put all of the pieces together for such a time as this. God has given supernatural direction, supernatural agreement (the Southern Missouri District unanimously approved the District Urban Church Plant on January 22, 2009) and supernatural provision.
This plan will allow Trinity and Inner City Ministries to work together to eventually launch Urban Churches in the 72 neighborhoods of St. Louis. This newsletter outlines the plan. After you read this newsletter, go and look at our new website at www.icmstl.com. We are excited and God is pleased.
